Privacy Policy

FootBrain ("the App") is a daily soccer tactics puzzle. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Display name — what you enter during onboarding so other players can see your name on leaderboards.
• Email address — optional, used solely to let you recover your account if you switch devices or reinstall the app. We do not send marketing email.
• Gameplay data — which challenges you've completed, your completion times, and your streak.
• League memberships — the names of leagues you create or join.
• Push notification token — if you allow notifications, your device's anonymous Apple Push token, used only to send the daily challenge reminder.
• Timezone — captured automatically from your device so the daily reminder is delivered at your local morning, not someone else's.

Information we do NOT collect

• Your location (only your timezone)
• Your contacts, photos, or device files
• Advertising identifiers
• Any data used for cross-app tracking

How we use your information

• Display your name and time on leaderboards visible to other players in your league or globally.
• Persist your streak and play history so you can pick up where you left off across devices.
• Send you one push notification per day with the day's challenge reminder, at your local morning, if you've opted in.
• Diagnose crashes and improve the app.

Who we share data with

We share data with the following service providers strictly to operate the app:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting. Your name, email, gameplay data, and league memberships are stored on Supabase's servers.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — to deliver your daily reminder if notifications are enabled.
• Netlify — web hosting for the marketing site and web version of the game.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or any other third parties.

Your choices

• Notifications — you can disable push notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → FootBrain.
• Account deletion — email us (see Contact below) and we'll delete your player record and all associated gameplay data within 7 days.
• Email update — change your email in the app's Settings, or contact us and we'll update it for you.

Children's privacy

FootBrain is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all personal data within 7 days. Anonymized gameplay statistics may be retained in aggregate form for product analytics.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
